First of all I would like to wish everyone a Happy Halloween! It's been so long since I've celebrated. Well now that's out of the way, I'd like to fill you in on what's been going on. Well tomorrow, it will be 7 weeks with my boyfriend. He is absolutely amazing, and I am the luckiest girl in the world to have him. I couldn't possibly ask for more. And since then, I've been busy with school and choir, which is really starting to kick off now that we are starting to think about our huge concert in January. Speaking of school, I haven't been in school for the past 7 days. And the reason why? Swine Flu. I mean really? I would be the one to get the newest (and most uncomfortable strain of the flu). So I've been in bed, slowly getting worse, and most recently, getting better.
Today I vistited Ripon College. Which I must say is a beautiful college. The staff there is amazing, and more than willing to help you find your way around. So they made the most of their first impressinon. They served us a delicious lunch with 3 main entrees. (I ate better there than I do at home.) On top of that, I got to attend a class of my choice, I choose an education class which was very engaging. Towards the end of the tour, there were 5 seniors that were asked to talk to us and answer any questions that we may of had. After viewing first hand the campus and some of the buildings, I thought that the seniors would talk about their classes right away. But alas, I was mistaken. Instead of boasting about their stimulating adademics (it is a private college by the way), they decided to talk about the friendly staff and students there. I mean that's great and all, but what if I want an acutal challenge during college? What if I don't really care that I have ever single professor's home number and go over to his house for tea? So what I guess I'm saying is that $32,000 of tuition is being paid for lots of useless fluff, which only makes the transition from college to the real world even harder for students. I give it 3 out of 5 stars.
But other than that I think you're caught up on the happenings in my life. Crazy life I lead, I know. It just feels like forever since I've updated the old blog.
Live and love free.
